I wish I can tell you how many times I’ve started, stopped or paused my business. I tried to make it fit the standard mode of what I believed others thought a business should be. I focused more on what I was trained to do and not what I was called to do. Which, for the most part is common sense. But for some people who launch new endeavors they recognize the “there’s something more” feeling and it sticks with them until they do something about it.
That was my story…for years. I was happy with what I was doing, but not fulfilled.
I talked about what was in my heart…for years.
I even planned it all out on paper…for years.
Then finally came the year. That would be this year, when I decided to begin again and pursue my calling.
For me, today is a new day. It can be the same for you. If you have that “there’s something more” feeling about the direction of your business, ministry or life…stop and do four things: 1) clarify your calling, 2) identify what’s most compelling to you about it, 2) create a plan for implementing your call and 4) move forward with the first step in your plan.
Everything won’t come together in one day, but your beginning creates the new day that your heart longs for. Now is the time to get started.
